The Durst Organization Case Study
The Durst Organization Case Study
Sven is a mixed-use development featuring residential rental residences and retail space in Long Island City. Projected to be the tallest building in Queens, the new 928,000 square foot tower will house 958 residences, nearly 300 of which will be affordable units. The site’s historic Clock Tower building, built in 1927 building to house the Bank of Manhattan, is undergoing a façade restoration and interior renovation to accommodate over 50,000 square feet of commercial and retail spaces. Sven located at 29-59 Northern Boulevard, Queens, was identified as a new construction project with a BIM deliverable requirement of the Design and Construction teams and selected as an ideal candidate to extend the value of a BIM workflow through construction into operations. Willow is working client-side in a leadership role to support the Durst Organization to drive better value through the supply chain to enable a reduction in operational expenses and a premium experience for those who use the building.
