Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills which includes 5.9 kilometres of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and the CBD. The project also includes four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, and Roma Street, as well as station upgrades for the Dutton Park station and the Exhibition station. Engaged by CBGU D&C JV, Willow’s bid role offered digital engineering services. Our team undertook model federation, model coordination of all contributing consultants and provided support or the construction team in construction sequencing, tem porary works and 4D requirements.

Scope of work

WillowDigital™ Engineering has been engaged to

  • Design delivery – Existing conditions 3D models generation and implementation into the design and construction coordination process, cloud-based design coordination, models requirement definition and assessment to suit the Digital Twin development

  • Finalise design & modelling – Turning Project Information Model (PIM) into Asset Information Model (AIM): Postconstruction update of the design models (when required) to ensure alignment of the simultaneous design and construction phase works and mitigate site issues, ensuring all the data produced during construction is captured and collated into the design models

  • Progressive digital handover – Provide handover support services including models and data review, models auditing and data validation
