Seattle, Washington (5 May 2021) – Willow, the leading provider of digital twin solutions for intelligent Real Estate and Infrastructure has further strengthened its senior product leadership, appointing Ben Schultz to Vice President of Product. In this role, Ben will be responsible for Product Management across Willow, including Real Estate, Infrastructure and emerging verticals.

Commenting on the reasoning behind joining Willow, Ben said “Character matters; the people surrounding me have incredible impact on the quality of the products created and my quality of life while creating them. There are numerous Cloud and SaaS patterns that I’ll leverage while leading at Willow, but the magic is in the individuals united in effort. It’s mutual respect and dedication that will ensure fantastic results. I joined Willow because I wanted to be part of something great and to make an impact in the world’s biggest sector.”
Ben joins Willow’s growing Engineering Senior Leadership Team, and will collaborate closely with executives across Sales, Digital Engineering, Delivery, Marketing and Willow’s key technology partners such as Microsoft. Rich Miller, Willow’s CTO said “Willow is building a scalable, core platform, that can be applied to virtually any building type or piece of critical infrastructure across our markets. Over his career, Ben has led globally distributed, cross-functional teams and deployed scaled product at speed. It’s a great fit for both Ben and Willow and after a well deserved sabbatical with his family, we’re thrilled to have a leader of his calibre join us.”
Whilst digital twins have existed within the built environment in some form since as early as the 2000s, they are only now beginning to gain traction in the industry. For the first time, this technology can now be deployed at scale through Willow. Digital twins, when applied at a portfolio or infrastructure network level, are exciting to asset owners, with the ability to provide cost savings of up to 20 percent as well as enabling users to reap huge future rewards in digital readiness, cyber protection and reduced integration costs.
