People of Willow: Natalie Doyle

PostedWillow Team

Hey there Natalie, tell us a little about your role at Willow.

I work in the Emerging Products vertical (Product and Engineering) that focuses on converging our sector-based solutions as global feature-based experiences, including discovery design and technical viability for future Willow clients.

What attracted you to your role at Willow?

I’m from a traditional Industrial Design background, focused around creating “physical” products. It doesn’t take long before you begin to look at your products through a critical lens and wonder about their environmental and sustainability impact.

At Willow, the physical and digital worlds converge as the Digital Twin, and we can translate physical products into information to better inform decisions and their impacts. In the Product Design team, knowledge and understanding around sustainability as a performance indicator is our perpetual motivation.

What kind of projects are you currently working on?

Currently, I am helping to create a vision of how WillowTwin™ can provide a virtual representation of an entire state that serves as a single point of reference for real-time display of physical assets, combining GIS and 3D visualisations.

What has been the biggest learning or opportunity you’ve had since joining Willow?

My biggest learning and opportunity is being given the space to guide my own design discovery and learning what I am capable of. Willow understands how to get the best output from their team, which begins with taking the time to understand who their team is.

What do you find most exciting about working in tech?

I am constantly learning, which is very important to me.

What do you love most about working at Willow? What has your experience been with our company culture?

The flexibility. Personally, I’ve embraced working from home majority of the time. However, our teams still make the time to have early morning coffee chats just as we would in the office. All teams have been so kind and encouraging!
