Over 200 students from the nearby St. Mary’s Academy in grades 9-12 turned up to the 70,000-seat stadium to participate in this exclusive event. As a partner in the Hollywood Park Tech Alliance, Willow hosted an activity that demonstrates the Willow digital twin at the stadium, along with the design and construction elements of the venue. In addition, Willow moderated and participated in a panel of women experts involved in STEAM at Hollywood Park and the NFL Network, followed by a tour of the technology of the stadium, and a visual art and broadcasting project.

Participants learned about the digital twin built by Willow at SoFi Stadium, which includes 6 million modeled assets, including 143,000 assets with associated static data sheets associated, and over 110,00 live data points from 8 different systems.

“I would encourage you, in any kind of opportunity you are faced with, to always speak up, always bring your ideas to the table. If you’re faced with any kind of biases, seek out opportunities, step up, and break through that glass ceiling.” –Beth Kozman, Director of Product Strategy at Willow and panelist at Girls in STEAM event

Willow is committed to living up to its leadership principles, including Rising by Lifting Others. We acknowledge the disparity of women to men in technological fields and aim to both highlight the immense amount of work done by women at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, while simultaneously helping bring more women into STEAM fields through education and exposure.

Willow has recently launched Women of Willow (the “WoW” initiative) – a global, formalized women’s initiative committed to action. The initiative aims to provide a forum to connect women at Willow across the globe, women in the technology industry, improve gender representation in our leadership roles and ensure every woman in the company feels supported and represented. At Willow, we recognize that as a company we exist in industries that are traditionally male, and are passionate about combatting this bias through supporting initiatives that encourage women at all stages of their careers to consider a career path in STEAM and in these industries.
